ST. THOMAS, U.S.V.I. – Banco Popular reinforced its commitment to the Virgin Islands community once more by donating uniforms to local schools on Monday, February 25 and Tuesday, February 26. Over 100 slacks, 900 shirts, 40 pairs of socks and 80 belts were donated to nine schools so that they could distribute them among students in need. Over a dozen of Banco Popular employees took part in this giving back initiative.

“We understand the immense problem that is present in our community. Children are being impacted by the troubled state of the economy. We will continue to promote social and economic well-being in the community and contribute whenever we can to those in need,” stated Oran Bowry, Senior Vice President of Operations and Administration of the Virgin Islands Region for Banco Popular.
As an additional element in its dedication to contributing to society, Banco Popular will hold its now annual event, “Ultimate Flavors of the Islands” on Friday, May 24.
