As part of its 35-year anniversary celebration, Banco Popular held a press conference today to present the various initiatives that will take place throughout the year, as well as its new advertising campaign that features the slogan, "Let's make more possible".
The ad campaign showcases the various products and services available to Banco Popular customers, as well as the financial institution's commitment to the Virgin Islands community.
"This year is a very special one for us and we want our customers and the community to celebrate along with us. We have been a part of the Virgin Islands for 35 years and, in that time, we have immersed ourselves in this community in order to serve our customers with the level of excellence that characterizes us," stated Oran C. Bowry, Senior Vice President and Region Manager for Banco Popular.
Aside from the advertising campaign, created by JWT, an agency headquartered in Puerto Rico, Banco Popular also unveiled an exhibitor. The exhibitor, located at the bank's regional headquarters in the Valentino I. McBean Regional Banking Center in Charlotte, Amalie, presents a timeline of milestones through the years. It also features a map that pinpoints the nine branches throughout the islands of St. Thomas, St. Croix and Tortola. Visitors will also get to watch a video that gives a taste of the Banco Popular history, as well as the organizational culture.
Information regarding community efforts and market share is also presented in the exhibitor that will remain in the atrium of the bank's building through 2016 and will be opened to the public during the branch's hours of operations.
Bowry also announced the official dates for this year’s Ultimate Flavors of the Islands. The annual event will take place on Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20th. More details regarding the culinary extravaganza will be shared in the next months.
