The event will take place on Friday, May 29th. Tickets are now available.
Betting on the success of its annual event, Banco Popular adds even more spice to Ultimate Flavors of the Islands while announcing the fourth consecutive edition of the gastronomic extravaganza. The event’s focus is to provide a once in a lifetime experience to local students interested in the culinary arts and for the local community to enjoy along with them.
The culinary adventure will take place on Friday, May 29th at the Frenchman’s Reef and Morning Starr Marriott Beach Resort with a full agenda. In the morning, local students will have the chance to partake in a mentoring and practical session with the guest chefs and participate in the first ever Junior Chef Competition that will be part of Ultimate Flavors of the Islands.
“We are excited to introduce the Junior Chef Competition as it presents a new and exciting opportunity for students to showcase their talent while being mentored by established celebrity and local chefs. At the end of the day, the sole purpose of this event is for the students to immerse in an exhilarating opportunity and for us to support local talent and their dreams of becoming the next world renowned chefs,” said Oran C. Bowry, Senior Vice President and Region Manager.
During the afternoon, participants will witness live demo kitchens and taste delectable creations from more than 20 local restaurants.
In order to accommodate the growing attendance of the popular event, multiple areas of the hotel will be used to host the demo kitchens, mentoring sessions and grand tasting. Last year, more than 500 people attended. As done in previous years, local and world renowned chefs will provide their talent under the supervision of this year’s head chef, Efrain Cruz from the Intercontinental Hotel of Puerto Rico.
Tickets are now available on eventbright.com and Banco Popular branches in the Virgin Islands for just $65. For more information on the event, please visit www.flavorsbancopopular.com.
