ST. THOMAS, U.S.V.I – As an added perk to a two-day culinary extravaganza, people can now purchase tickets to an exclusive “Dining with the Chefs” private dinner. The flavorful new addition will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 7:30 PM at the Harbour II Ballroom at the Frenchman’s Reef and Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort in St. Thomas.
Only 80 tickets will be sold for this dinner in which guests will experience an out-of-this-world menu created solely for the event by world-renowned chefs. The chefs that are responsible for this menu are: Eric Greenspan, Mathayom Vacharat, Mitch Cooper, David Benjamin, Miguel Michel and Roberto Treviño.
“Dining with the Chefs’ is more than a dinner with delicious food, it is an experience. The menu, attention to detail, and atmosphere create something unique. We are very excited to provide guests with an encounter like this,” stated Antolín Velasco, Senior Vice President for Banco Popular’s Virgin Islands Region.
Tickets for “Dining with the Chefs” are $175 per person or $300 per couple. They can be purchased at any of Banco Popular’s branches in St. Thomas, St. Croix and Tortola, as well as www.ticketpop.com.
Aside from an impressive menu, a certified sommelier will pair and suggest wines that best complement each course. Wine will be provided by the prestigious Banfi Vintners in Italy.

“Dining with the Chefs” is a new addition to Banco Popular’s culinary extravaganza “Ultimate Flavors of the Islands.” The main event, which includes a Grand Tasting, Chefs Challenge and Celebrity Chef Demo Kitchens will take place on Friday, May 24 at 8:00PM at the Frenchman’s Reef and Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort.
